York Campus
CSB's York campus is conveniently located just off Route 30 in the York City Business
and Industry Park. Inside the one-story building are 14 classrooms, four Internet
labs, a technical lab, a medical lab, a learning resource center, a student lounge
with snack and beverage machines, a spacious student patio with tables and benches,
administrative offices, restroom facilities, and a faculty lounge.
Stepping into our medical lab is like being transported to a real-world health facility,
with stocked medical cabinets, counter space, models and diagrams, and an examination
area. The lab provides medical assisting students with equipment designed to develop
clinical skills through hands-on learning. This equipment includes exam tables,
electrocardiographs, an X-ray view box, oxygen tanks, centrifuges, microscopes,
anatomical teaching torsos, venipuncture practice models, and human skeletal and
multiple organ models.
Students will sharpen their computer skills in our four Internet labs, equipped
with current computers, the latest software applications, and laser printers. In
fact, ample computers are available for student use throughout the building. System
specialist students will utilize Cisco Systems equipment in our technical lab. This
allows for hands-on practice in required internetworking classes, where students
also plan and connect a LAN and WAN during a course project.
Our legal assistant, legal secretary and paralegal students will be pleased to find
an extensive legal library at their disposal. This library includes a complete set
of Corpus Juris Secundum legal encyclopedias, the 2009 edition of Purdon’s Pennsylvania
Statutes and Consolidated Statutes, the Shepard’s Pennsylvania Citations series,
and a variety of legal dictionaries and handbooks. CSB also subscribes to professional
journals such as Legal Assistant Today and The Paralegal Educator, available to
students in the resource room and the legal library.
Also housed on campus is Safran Publishing Inc., owned by the president of CSB.
This company specializes in writing and publishing computerized software and textbooks
designed to meet the training needs of postsecondary business schools.
