Estimated Cost Calculator

How much might it cost to attend CSB?  Find out below.

Please Note...

The estimates above apply to full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students only.  The median grant amount attributed to the higher EFC levels is misleading due to the fact that nearly all of the grant money awarded at the higher EFC levels was awarded through training grants that are not readily available to the general population.

These estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance or a final net price; they are only estimates based on price of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2009-10. Price of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year. These estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State.

By clicking below, I acknowledge that the estimate provided using this calculator does not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance, or a final net price; it is an estimate based on price of attendance and financial aid provided to students in a previous year. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be eligible for, and receive, an actual financial aid award that includes Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. Not All Students Receive Financial Aid

In 2009-10, 95% of our full-time students enrolling for college for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students may also be eligible for student loans and work-study. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid that includes Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for Federal student aid, go to https://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.  The Estimated Cost Calculator for our institution is very misleading due to the fact that nearly half of the reported “cost of attendance” reflects components such as room and board which are additional costs normally not incurred by our student body. A more realistic “net price” would be derived from subtracting the mean grant – especially in the zero Pell range – from tuition and books.

Please disregard any “system generated” values as they are inaccurate and in no way represent the actual results for our student body. The Department has no basis for generating these “estimates” and it is totally irresponsible to do so. In trying to create a tool to assist families, this Estimated Cost Calculator – particularly for certain types of institutions, such as ours – instead badly misrepresents our true cost.
