New students are scheduled into a Personal and Study Skills Development class to become more acquainted with CSB and its requirements. In addition, the School Director will review transcripts every six weeks and meet with any student who may be experiencing academic difficulty. Tutoring services are available to assist students in need.
We understand that taking on a new challenge can be difficult. Any student experiencing personal, social or economic difficulty is encouraged to see their school director for a referral to outside professionals for counseling.
Students experiencing difficulty in a course may request tutoring by submitting a Tutoring Request Form to the School Director. The School Director will review the form, meet with the student’s instructor, and decide the best way to help the student. Tutoring sessions will be held before school, after school, during lab hours, or on Fridays. The scheduling of tutoring sessions is dependent upon the availability of both the tutor and the student.
CSB offers a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program to help students find the appropriate resources for counseling and treatment.
